I came to know Mrs Chow, the chief editor of Herald Monthly, when she visited Sydney from America. Since then, we have become good friends and shared our life stories. Mrs. Chow has been encouraging me continuously to put all my life testimonies in writing as God has done great things for my family. The Australian edition of the Herald Monthly was first published in Sydney in 2013. I am thankful to the editor who set up a special column entitled “The Diaries of a Pastor’s Wife’, allowing me to write my life testimony in the monthly. It was difficult for me to start writing as I found it hard to express myself. My severe memory loss has not helped as it has caused a loss of vocabulary. Due to this, my story may at times lose its colour. I have attempted many times to give up, wanting to return to my role as a humble housewife. However, whenever I tried to tell the editor that this would be my last contribution, he would tell me that my last testimony was well received and would also be published in the Herald Monthly’s American edition. Once, while I distributed the Herald, a lady told me that my articles deeply touched her after I confirmed that I was the writer. The pen was heavy, but God’s mighty hand and the Holy Spirit upheld me. God provided strength when I prayed for it. “I tell you,” He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” (Luke 19:40) “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So, the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him. (Luke 8:39) But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that by believing you may have life in his name. (John 20:31) May God use this book and my testimonies to allow people to understand His truth, accept Jesus as their Saviour, gain eternal life, and give all glory to God. Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) Eileen Lee (李吳惠冰) Written in March 2023 in SydneyContent
